We desperately need a vet to join our lovely team in Townsville! We have done all we can to make this position enticing including the following:

  • 4 DAY WEEK - Two long weekends in a row followed by a midweek day off
  • 8:30-5:30pm shifts, 1 hour lunch break
  • 30-minute consults

Are you a veterinarian who wants to work a 32 hour week on a full time above award salary in our small animal practice in Townsville, North Queensland?  We are a local practice that runs well equipped mobile vans with the support of our fully equipped base clinic for surgical and medical cases.

We are looking for a self-driven, passionate veterinarian that has a drive for high standards in their workplace.  Ideally, 6 months+ experience as a veterinarian is required and we hope you will have a strong desire to grow your consulting, surgical and medical skills.  The successful applicant will enjoy being a part of an energetic, positive and supportive team.  We strive to provide an excellent work environment that allows you to develop a high standard of care to our clients and patients.

We are looking for an experienced nurse who is approachable and willing to teach others! 

Responsibilities will include -

* Equipment Register: equipment repairs and replacement as required; ensure servicing is done periodically; completing warranties etc; making decisions in conjunction with management , regarding new equipment training

* Inventory: taking charge of all aspect of stock ordering; storing; handling; rotation; wastage stock

* Maintaining and reviewing Policies and Procedures in regards to clinic operations

* Supervising Nurse Consults

* Training/mentoring of new vet nursing students

* Ensure Ezyvet reminder system is functioning

* Keeping nurse training up to date and relevant

As some staff training will be a responsibility, the candidate will be required to commit to possibly a 9 day fortnight, at least initially, but work hours can be negotiated.
